Catalog Description: This course covers the analysis, design, simulation, and implementation of advanced combinational logic circuits and synchronous/asynchronous state machines using modern programmable logic devices. Electrical and timing characteristics of physical devices are covered. CAD-based design and development using hardware description languages are used throughout the course. A laboratory is included.
