ABOUT US
In 1982, the Florida Engineering Education Delivery System (FEEDS) was established as a means of making engineering education available to Florida’s engineering population. Now, more than twenty-six years later, with ten Florida universities participating, thousands of degrees have been awarded through the FEEDS consortium, serving hundreds of Florida industries.
Drawing on resources from the statewide consortium, the College of Computing, Engineering and Construction opened its first Distance Learning (DL) Center at UNF. Since 2004, the DL Center has provided quality distance education courses from the School of Engineering, the School of Computing and Construction Management. New delivery standards have evolved, but the original video format remains the same today: Courses are recorded live, in a classroom environment, and are web cast over the Internet. The DL Center is the only facility of its kind at UNF, delivering synchronous and asynchronous video lectures using this unique approach. We have also joined forces with the Florida Distance Learning Consortium, increasing our customer outreach potential, adding more valuable resources for faculty and students.
Although the CCEC Distance Learning Center provides a variety of video-based services for our college, the university, and our community, our primary focus is to respond to the educational needs of students and professionals.
